Hello friends, I'm here today to ask y'all for some advice about a problem I've been having. Had the battery out of my 99 tj 4.0 sahara for enough time that it reset the computer codes across the board. Took it in to get smogged (in California) and it wont pass because it failed the evap test as well as one more. I only need one of those two to pass where I live and the gentleman at the smog station said evap would be the easiest ( the other that failed was the 02 sensor). I have since changed the gas cap to a new one in case there was a crack in the old as well as driving the darn thing for over a month now every day at all speeds and distances with 3/4 to a full tank of gas and the code reader I bought is still saying evap is incomplete. Any other tips or suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated. It's my first jeep and I would be grateful to hear y'all's thoughts on what steps to take next. I registered it but have to get a moving permit every 24 hours from AAA and it's obviously a pain in the neck. Thank you all in advance.
