I really like my Baja Bosses. 35" MT's on the Jeep and 33" A/T on the truck. Both get really good traction in michigan. Haven't had much of a chance to run them on rocks and things, but for everything else they've been in, they have been the best tire I've purchased.

Not really. My Jeep has the Factory Rubicon MT/R's on it when I got them, but they were worn and pretty small. I remember liking them, but it would be REALLY tough for me to compare a small 31 from 2004 to a new design 35" tire. I've run BFG OG MT's and MT2, General Grabber X3 MT's and now the Baja Bosses. The Baja Bosses are by far my favorite, so far. They are still pretty new though. The Generals were pretty good when new as well, but they dropped off pretty quickly for me. I actually liked the BFG's too, but those got exchanged to go bigger.
My son has 33 12.50 15 Bajas on his 01. 1 went back for warranty and a 2nd one that was denied warranty coverage. Heckuva time getting/keeping them balanced. Incredible on & off road when you can get/keep them true.
I'm a Cooper STT Pro fan myself
How old were the Bosses? I wasn't that impressed with them after my first Moab trip. Once I ran them on the Rubicon they started to improve quite a bit.
Finding the right pressure on them also makes a difference as I've run pressures where they didn't grab that well.
