Heater Core Advice

Ok, never mind. Did you know that nothing on the HVAC works if the little black vacuum hose in the engine compartment isn't connected? just spent over an hour double checking all the connections, pulling the fan motor checking all the fuses only for it to be the one thing I actually set a mental reminder to re connect

Ok, 30° this morning. Full doors and soft top on, heater set at full cook, defrost/floor selected and fan set at 3 of 4. Brass works core doesn't seem to get AS hot as the Performance core but it did get hot enough that I had to turn the heat down to one click cooler than 3 o'clock on the dial

That is good news if you ask me. Good morning to you!

Stick a thermometer in the vent and see if it meets spec:

I got me a used heater core and air conditioner condenser for $40 plus shipping on marketplace. I’m going to get the heater core flushed and checked out at a radiator shop and make sure it’s ok, before I spend another 500 bucks to get it put in.
Maybe I’ll have a Jeep I can run this winter.
