Heater Core Advice

After the Second Performance radiator core (2 in 3 years) I ordered a Brass works core, hefty price tag but who wants to be pulling the dash every year and a half? The Brassworks core is a tank compared to the aluminum and plastic core.
Just installed it yesterday and still need to drain some coolant and re attach the heater hoses but I'm hopeful I'll never have to do another heater core

I hope you are right but Im pretty sure I have heard of some of those failing also. Part of why mine has been bypassed for about 4 years.

Looks like MOPAR doesn’t want us to fix our old Jeeps. I’ve owned Chrysler products in the past, a couple of Dodge pickups etc., but I’m not likely to own another.

Yes, I know some people dont have that luxury. For me seat heaters is all I need and rarely use those.

Im pretty sure I have heard of some of those failing also.

I thought the only complaint, other than maybe price and wait time, was that they didn't produce as much heat as the factory core. That said, I thought I read somewhere recently that they've changed the design of the core to correct the issue. I hope so as mine's had a very slow leak for two winters, just waiting to find a decent core.

They used to offer two cores, a cheaper one with less surface area than stock and an expensive one with more surface area, they said everyone opted for the cheaper one then trashed them on the internet so they dropped the cheaper one and only offer the one with greater surface area
We shall see

First time Jeep owner. What is bugging me the most (besides the heater core) is that I’ve always liked MOPAR.

I had a 92 Dodge slant six pickup that wore out owners.

Had a 88 Dodge 318 pickup that I pulled a friend’s Jeep from Arkansas to New Mexico and the truck ran better after it made that round trip.

But I could get parts for them.

Now auto makers assemble Chinese parts that will be discontinued when they change to new and different Chinese parts.

MOPAR. They should go ahead and sell the name, if they haven’t already.

Ok, so, coolant drained new core attached to hoses and coolant refilled
But I now have no hvac functions
No fan no mode actuation no temp door actuation
All the connections appear to be connected, fuses are all good and the controls light up
Any suggestions on where to look for my screw up?

Ok, never mind. Did you know that nothing on the HVAC works if the little black vacuum hose in the engine compartment isn't connected? just spent over an hour double checking all the connections, pulling the fan motor checking all the fuses only for it to be the one thing I actually set a mental reminder to re connect
