This part is listed as a "heavy duty" fan clutch. Does anyone know whether this fan clutch is any different than the OEM fan clutch? Specifically, Hayden documentation states:

"Turns the fan 70-90% of the shaft speed when engaged for increased cooling." Does anyone know whether this is also true of the OEM fan clutch?

Also, curious if anyone knows whether the OEM fan clutch vs. Hayden have different engagement temperatures?

Maybe someone has swapped the 2737 for a functional OEM fan clutch and can comment on differences in cooling performance?

I opted to try the USMN as the 2791 I have has always been very quiet. Even at initial start up and quieter then the Mopar was. Guess only way to know is to try it.

I used the Hayden 2771 - I *think* that's the "Heavy Duty" version for my year (06). Its louder than stock. I care - not. The more air that flows through that radiator here in Florida, the better. I can't compare its effectiveness to stock as the stock clutch had failed, and Goddess only knows for how long before it got so bad that I noticed. It won't spin down under about 3200 RPM which is a feature as far as I'm concerned.

I got the Severe Duty one. It's NOISY, it likes to run the fan more than is needed. I kind of wish I had just bought the Heavy Duty.

Mine is the older 4 bolt style and not the spin on, but I had the Hayden heavy duty (no severe duty exists for the older model) and it was ridiculously loud. I hated it. I lucked out and found a Mopar from Collins Bros that I'm using. Hope I don't ever need to change it again. I really couldn't find any good alternatives. USMW seemed okay but the experiences with it seem a bit hit or miss.

Same, I want to hear the fan working. I like to hear it at full blast on start or I automatically think it’s not working correctly. The 2791 is crazy how quiet it is. After reading how many complaining of the noise I am suspicious of mine.
