Hey guys just wondering if I can repaint my black hardtop to tan colour?
I believe it will go nice on my red Jeep :)

Sure you can. Just make sure your prep work is good. Use a scotch brite pad make sure the whole surface scoured any spots not scuffed will for sure peel over time, the. spray with a high quality vinyl base paint. I’d recommend something from the SEM line if you can get it in Australia. Lots of color options in the Vinyl coat, Classic coat and color coat line.

If you're taking it a paint/body shop, I wouldn't go buying a bunch of rattle cans and expect the shop to use them. You might get lucky but I doubt most shops would do that. I'd check with the shop beforehand. They should be able to mix the factory hardtop tan color (or any other color you choose) for application and will used catalyzed products through professional spray equipment to finish it, producing a more durable paint finish in the end.

Yea, just take it to a reputable body shop and they will know what to do with it. I thought you were planning on doing it yourself.
