Hello Everyone,

I am hoping for some help. My driver side door was stolen a couple of years ago. I think they also tried to steal the passenger side, but were scared away. I only mention that because now the passenger side door is acting strangely. I think they may have messed up the mechanism.

At first the lock was hard to push and would not lock from the inside. Now the push button lock doesn't work and I can't open the door from the inside. Using the key from the I upside works and so does the paddle to open the door.

Has anyone experienced this? I saw posts about the lock issue, but not both the lock and handle. I also saw a really cool post with pictures on how to remove the window crank.

Is this a fairly easy fix?

Once I remove the door panel, what should I look to fix?

Does this sound like replacement parts are needed or will a zip tie and some duct tape do the trick?

There are two rods inside that connect to the door handle and lock button. I bet they have come loose or the plastic pieces they snap in to are broken. its an easy fix just take the door panel off, remove the handle and have a look.
