Front suspension cycling

That's more than I thought you could get . Cool .

The limit becomes the track bar contacting the drag link near the pitman arm. This is after moving the TB frame mount, reshaping the drag link and track bar with a press and trimming whatever else is in the way on the axle. The TB frame side Johnny joint covers about half the case spreader hole on the axle at full shock compression. Anything further forward requires moving the steering gear.

My plan is to get the axle centered and do my best to get bumps lined up at least so they make contact to do their job while being able to clear the tires out of the back fenders. Then put more bend in the trac bar as needed. Iv been thinking about doing a tie rod flip so maybe now is the time for that since I’ll have to check for interference with that. I need to get some of Mr. Blaine’s sway bar brackets.

If the zerk is making contact with the spring perch, trim the perch so it clears.

I probably will have to. As far as putting more bend into the trac bar what the best method for accomplishing that? Do I just bend more where the existing bend is?

You’ve got a Currie TB, so the bend is good. The circled parts are what I dont’ understand, perhaps because i can’t see them clearly, but they look odd. Additionally, perhaps the Currie diff cover could be replaced with something not as deep to make room for the TB.

Here’s a different pic from months ago. Right now the axle is not center or square since iv been moving it around to get different looks at it.

Or this with it on the ground under it own weight.

We use a shop press and the mark that hits the diff as the bend point. That mark would be up and pressed down across two press blocks. Be aware you may need to add a compensating bend to line the joint back up in the axle side mount. That means adding a slight amount of bend at the end of the first straight section.
