I am looking at buying this jeep--is this frame too far gone it is a 1999 TJ in the north east. so hard to find one that is in great shape out here. i feel like it may need alot of work to clean up and get on the road....

I wouldn't touch that rig considering the frame has already been repaired. Why not fly down south and pick up a rust free TJ from the Carolinas or GA?
No need to fly anywhere. Drive next door to Va and pick up a much better Jeep. Ask for frame pics before going to see any Jeep.

how can you tell it has been repaired? Thank you SOOO much for pointing that out
i did see one in SC and I was ready to get on a plane, but that 2004 has had 8 owners, seems like every 2-3 years it traded hands...so i am walking away from that one. something is clearly wrong with it.
i am looking for a unicorn---red or green automatic with half doors. a red TJ was the first jeep i ever had and I want to get that or a green one like my last TJ...
