Project complete!

Now to watch poly performance for a Black Friday deal on mounts.

Any resources or walkthroughs you can share on rebuilding these?good sources for parts? Like amount of oil, bleeding air, etc?I got an amazing deal on some 10" 2.0 resi's I'm going to rebuild and use on my 2.5" lift.Probably have them tuned as well.
Looking at the numbers they will fit without too much work and help me gain travel with centered shocks at around 3" lift

Oh,btw. It's black Friday! You said you were going to look for a deal on the poly mounts!

Good reminder for poly performance!

As far as information, I spent a bunch of time in accutune’s site, reading their blogs and watching their videos. They have a couple “how to” vids that helped me get the feel of what I was getting into. You can download an exploded view from Fox, if you have the part number (should be on the dust cover on the shaft side of the body).

As far as parts go, Kartech has most everything you need. Poly performance has a lot of it too, but you got know your part numbers. Their search kinds blows. I shopped both sites.

The rebuilding of shocks is pretty easy. There isn’t much too them. Just take good notes in the shim positions and get a GOOD Spanner to grab the pin holes in the lower cap. The cap is soft aluminum and they can get pretty stuck.

Also…make sure to let the nitrogen out. Don’t assume they aren’t holding pressure. Mine were beat, and 4 of them still had pressure in them. Pull the valve core out of the reservoir and bleed the pressure before you do anything else, or you’ll have a volcano of shock fluid everywhere!

Thanks Mike. I'll go dig into accutune and fox. Do you remember where you found the exploded views at fox? I didn't get far with ridefox the first time. Part numbers would be a great help sourcing a few things

I just posted in your build thread too. The performance series are a bit different than the ones I worked on in this thread.

There is a thread on expedition portal that goes into quite a bit of detail on those type of shocks.
