Good reminder for poly performance!
As far as information, I spent a bunch of time in accutune’s site, reading their blogs and watching their videos. They have a couple “how to” vids that helped me get the feel of what I was getting into. You can download an exploded view from Fox, if you have the part number (should be on the dust cover on the shaft side of the body).
As far as parts go, Kartech has most everything you need. Poly performance has a lot of it too, but you got know your part numbers. Their search kinds blows. I shopped both sites.
The rebuilding of shocks is pretty easy. There isn’t much too them. Just take good notes in the shim positions and get a GOOD Spanner to grab the pin holes in the lower cap. The cap is soft aluminum and they can get pretty stuck.
Also…make sure to let the nitrogen out. Don’t assume they aren’t holding pressure. Mine were beat, and 4 of them still had pressure in them. Pull the valve core out of the reservoir and bleed the pressure before you do anything else, or you’ll have a volcano of shock fluid everywhere!
