I had a CJ5 I flat towed, and a TJ. I bought a CJ5 in East Texas, 5 ish hour drive. Flat towed back and the caster was so bad the 35’s didn’t pull back straight on full turns.
Huge PITA.
On a TJ, my son had it at TTech, towed back and the dam front Drive Shaft grenaded and took out the Transfer Case.
It was Friday Covid shutting down campus so it was a massive Cluster F, and of course it burned me.
So I’d avoid any risk in a Jeep you don’t know especially ha
