Fan shroud bolt installation on new Mopar radiator

Gotcha. Yes, that is specifically what I’m looking for. The factory ones look identical to that except a bit shorter. Sadly I can’t find that style in 1/4-20 anywhere. I ordered up some overpriced semi rusty OEM stuff from daveys. Ultimately that is the solution for me, was just hoping I could find something local/new. Oh well.

I have some if need be. A few points of clarification. You don't really want to tap the extruded hole. The body bolt is designed to roll the threads in so they are called self threading. They are not self tapping which has a cutting point to make the right size hole that is then tapped by the bolt thread. The bolts in this application are not covered under any DIN specification since they are SAE or normal US thread pitches, not metric. The OEM versions are also not tri-lobular. They reserved that for a lot of the bolts that go into the frame or thicker metal.

My only concern at this point is that I may have ruined the one hole trying to run that 5/16 bolt into there. We’ll see once the new bolts get here.

Received the bolts from Davey’s. Success! With a bit of cutting oil and a ratchet, they went right in.

Glad you got it sorted out. I should have mine in here in a bit after breakfast. I found a bag of 1/4-20 self-tapping torx head and some 1/4 fender washers left over from some long ago project and figured i'd just keep the Jeep tradition of using torx head screws and bolts alive. Also using the fender washers and some new 6mm stainless bolts from out the bin for mounting the radiator up.

I went through this. They are M6X1X14 bolts.
NAPA has them
