Draining my t-case and found a bunch of rubber when I drained it. Any idea what it is and solution to fix it? 2004 Rubi, 5 speed manual. The 241 with I believe the NV3550

I've never taken it out so maybe? Thats the 1st thing I thought it felt like
So just leave it alone and call it a day? I filled and drained 2x to see if more came out
Yeah, if there's a lot it can block the filter, but other than that it's probably normal to have a bit. Someone who split the case halves added a bit too much RTV and it squirted inside, dried, and then broke off during use. Pretty normal.
Only issue with a lot of RTV is clogging up the oil pump pickup.
My 231J ran 220 with a clogged pickup.
After disassembly and cleanup it's running around 180.
I'd fill it back up and IR gun several spots and see what temp it's running at.

I just did the biggest bone head move. Was refilling with a hand pump and plastic end/hose shot into T-case... on way to get a bore scope now. WTF, one of those days. Might figure out how to pull a T-case after all. This started as a transmission mount swap

OHHHH MAN, that sucks! Amazon had a cheap bore scope should be here first thing in am. Hoping if i can see it, I can fish out the piece. Spent way to long trying to do it blind. It's a tomorrow problem now
