We owned an VW ID.4 that did the same thing. Not to that extent but it annoyed the crap out of me driving 10 miles and the range would drop 20. They had a pretty serious recall and the timeline to get in for a fix was 6 months. Traded it in for a Tesla within the next couple of weeks.

Tesla is so much better at estimated range.

The Germans are well known for their electronics.

I've always liked this guys videos but he's facing a lot of backlash on this one. I guess he was using an older version of the self driving software, apparently he is financially invested in a competitor, and people are claiming he was deactivating the self driving mode during tests by moving the steering wheel.

Interesting, Rober has always seemed a bit shady to me.

Yep it's all just an advertising platform idgaf about stuff on YouTube

There's that too - but I'm just sayin' who cares if the Tesla couldn't figure out the fake wall. Outside of roadrunner cartoons, I've never seen one anywhere else. Never mind that I'm not interested in owning a Tesla or any other self driving car.

Retards that let a junk YouTube video drive their decision making for a 70k car care!!!!!

Honestly, that wall matched the landscape close enough that I bet a sizeable percentage of drivers would plow right through it, too.

So he tested a problem that doesn't really exist.

Pretty much - and no Teslas were hurt in the test. Anybody else remember the commercials years back where a car would blow through a huge banner in a similar manner (Hey - I'm a poet and didn't even know it.)? Shell gasoline comes to mind but there were others.

Theres more to the video than just crashing through the wall. I haven't watch thed full video but i believe the video demonstrates how a competitor car uses lidar to detect objects in the road versus Tesla's old software which uses its cameras computer vision to detect objects. The Tesla failed all the tests the competitor car passed. No one seems to really know why he used Tesla's older software vs their new software but he's getting shit for it not being an accurate comparison.

I don't particularly care about this video. The ones that got my attention a couple years ago was the child size dummies getting run over without the tesla even stopping.
