What brand, variety, and weight of engine oil do you recommend for the 4.0? Additional info: 240K miles, and cylinder 5 is burning oil. Thanks!

Recommendations vary on the manufacturer, but 10W/30 would be recommended.
I like Valvoline products, so that's what I recommend, but honestly most modern oils are good so pick whatever brand name and flavor you like, and stay with it. Synthetic has better temp range/stability. Weight is 5-30 or 10-30 normally, but if you're burning oil, you could bump that to a 10-40 and see if it helps. The question is why are you burning oil, and how much?
Excuse my ignorance, but isn't Rotella an oil for diesel engines? If so, apparently that doesn't matter.
Oil is oil. Just change it when you're supposed to.
If you are burning/leaking oil, a high mileage oil can sometimes help. Valvoline Maxlife synblend 5w30 helped significantly reduce a rear main seal leak on several 4.0 engines I have owned/serviced over the years. I usually use that oil in the 5w30/10w30 flavor. Since you have higher mileage a 10w40 might help slow oil consumption. These engines are not picky with oil.
I believe it was Tom and Ray who suggested the virtues of using Filippo Berio Extra Virgin olive oil on several occasions.
LOL almost sounds like a trick question. So many people follow so many different thoughts and opinions but I personally run Amsoil in everything I own.

10w30 Valvoline VR1 or 10w30 Rotella T6 and a Wix 51515 Filter every 3k Miles and no more for me
The zinc rich content of the oil helps some since were all rockin flat tappet engine......unless your a cool guy with a newcomer racing hyd. roller cam
But yeah I need everybit of protection to make myself feel better lol 
My LJ lives at rev limiter so the added protection that these oils provide make me confident to send it hard and i have been for the past 70k miles in the last 2-3 years of ownership with my jeep
