Electrical Connectors & Terminals For 1997 TJ

Personally I rather spend a few $$ more and use the factory style connectors instead of using the Chinese crap.....

they price gouge. No Chinese junk here.

17x the cost and ballenger is already marked up from readily available supply houses…

I offered the reasonably priced tool for the one time user who doesnt wanna blow $80-$200 on a one or two time use crimper

Im a high voltage sparky, so I know what top of the line tools cost, not everyone wants or needs it and it turns people away from learning

Oh hell I absolutely loathe those weatherpak connectors. Total junk IMO. I used them on my MR2 and I 100% expect to need to replace every single one. Next time I re-wire anything I am trying DTM connectors.
100s of thousands if not millions of cars rolled off an assembly line from the factory with them. Maybe you had some user error here

Other manufacturers followed with connector designs of their own and now it's plain impossible to work on any car without encountering electrical connectors.

Weatherpack / Metripack are Delphi weather resistant connectors uaed by GM from the factory. The name Delphi should have given it away

Hell mine have been in my 70s race car since i rewired it in 2010 without issue. The original molex connectors were open to the elements and all corroded. If you dont crimp correctly, anything will fail

I dont recommend buying SPECIFIC connectors at a store because theres a 1000% markup simply because the average person doesnt or cant make a new termination on their own, so they rape you

This may help some of you willing to learn
A word of advice,
the center crimp is the full power crimp on the copper
The weather seal crimp is LIGHT power, just to hold it
