I have been troubleshooting through code tripping and replacing various sensors and still get the same codes on the computer. misfire number 1, cam and crank not aligned. replaced ambient air, cam sensor, crank sensor, MAP sensor, TPS sensor, new timing chain and gears. I clear codes and at about 3500 steady or driving under load it starts throwing codes and chugs and dies. timing is good, checked several times and plug number 1 is flawless. could this be a bad PCM? frustrated and running out of options.

Has the OPDA been replaced with the upgraded Crown version?

Have you tried swapping the plug from cylinder 1 with any other to see if the error follows it? Or a wiring fault related to the plug or injector on cylinder 1?

Additionally, after replacing cam and crank sensors, did you perform a relearn with a code reader or by disconnecting the battery cables?

Top of the morning to you, gentlemen, and thank you for the tag-

What codes are you getting and is it an automatic or manual?

Thanks,

Mark

Yes. I have replaced that as well. it will sit and idle for days with no issues but when i go drive after it acts like it's out of time and starts missing. bring it home and it throws the same codes. I had up to 7 yesterday. all have to do with either misfire, cam/crank alignment and running to lean.

Ground wire clean and good connection, new timing chain and cam sensor as well as crank sensor. new IAT sensor. starts and after a few minutes throws the P0016 code and P0113 code. any other suggestions?

Check the wiring that goes over the dipstick.

Disconnect the cam sensor and see how it runs. It will be a long crank to start. You can also disconnect the crank sensor and just run on the cam sensor.

On the 06, disconnecting the battery will perform a cam/crank relearn.

How did the old OPDA gear and cam gear look?
