Control Arm Input: Purchase in Near Future

That's really good to know, thanks. We tossed around the idea of going to AOAA instead due to it's similar location, cheaper prices and larger size. I'm glad we chose Rausch Creek and will keep your sentiments in mind next time we head to Eastern PA. 👍
if you ever get back here, let me know. My local jeep club has members at Rausch just about every weekend.

I got Currie arms all the way around, very happy. Here is some pictures of me flexing at rousch creek, and hidden falls

Please do take some pictures. Id like to see how they held up.
Rausch is in my backyard pretty much as its 32 minutes from the house and Ill be upping my visits with an annual membership as I go at least once if not twice a month.

About to install some new 3" J-Spec springs in place of my beat rough countrys in 2 weeks and also add armor next spring so control arms are gonna be a must as they are also pretty beat at the bushings and I want to maximize my flex
Most of this is from Rausch Creek. Good times.

Aluminum vs steel.

Doesn't really work to compare them in general. I'll take 7075 aluminum (which is what the control arms and skids from Savvy anyway are made of) over some unknown steel alloy every day of the week.

7075 aluminum is used in all sorts of critical parts. From aircraft to firearms. It will hold up to rocks just fine. All while being lighter and cheaper than steel.

Savvy uses 6061-t6 for the skids.

... cheaper than steel?

Thought I saw 7075 on their ad.

People argue endlessly whether that's actually a step down or not. But you see both used for similar applications.

But no, not cheaper than steel. I was thinking copper because I had just been comparing that with aluminum for a different purpose entirely.

I went with MetalCloak for no reason other than their advertising got me.
No regrets, they work, what ever. Now that i know better, and if had a chance to do it again, id go with double adjustable ones.

Main thing i have to say here - USE ANTI-SEIZE !
I pretty much destroyed one of the adjustable ends with a pipe wrench cause it seized up. Was beating and torching it for 3 days with no avail. Eventually got it turning, still works, but is rendered unserviceable when time will come to replace joints.
