CJ Wheels on TJ

Reviving this thread:

I just cannot decide and need other Jeep owner opinions.

I want my Jeep back with the factory look. However, of all the factory wheels that have been on the Cherokee and TJ, this is the only one that I like:

I found a set of 4 of these wheels for $100. So cost is on my side. However, are there maybe any wheels that I am missing from the factory Jeep lineup?

Or, would it be worth the extra money to get some alloy wheels (I have yet to find an alloy wheel that I actually like, although I know that they are lighter which means less fuel consumption and less wear on all of my steering components)?
$25.00 each, factory wheels. They look great but the best part is factory wheels. So many after market wheels are just plain cheap. Regardless of price. Those look great.

Some more help, please?

I have narrowed down my choices to Canyon wheels and 6-spoke YJ wheels:

The canyon wheels would be the ideal choice because they are alloy (lighter), and they already look good.

But, with a 2" lift and MT tires, I figured that SEM Trim Black or dark satin green on the YJ wheels would look better overall - however. I really do not want to deal with sandblasting, cleaning, and painting wheels when I can just slap on great looking canyon wheels.

BFG's KO2 and General Tire AT3 come to mind for a good aggressive AT. Here's a pic from back in the day when I was rocking Canyons on 31x1050x15 BFG KM's. View attachment 10712

What lift did you have in this picture? 2" lift?

Also, I cannot find 31x10.5x15" BFG KM

It is a Old Man Emu 2.5" lift. You can't find the BFG KM because they no longer make them. They were replaced with the KM2.

@Chris, the Rubicon came with 31" tires, 16" rims, and a 1" lift - correct? Just trying to figure out why the Rubicon looks so good stock.

Also. I found 5 great condition Canyon rims on CL for $100... ...I'm really tempted to get those and be just happy that I saved money. What would you do?

I bought some Canyons on CL for mine. The clear coat was yellowed so I shot them black. I think they look good and they tuck under the flare now, no more crap flying up the sides.

I love the look of the Canyon wheels (not painted black, though IMO)

Get the Canyons..that's what I would run if I did not have Rubicon wheels.

Canyons powder coated in Heavy Silver would just be badass! I had the wheels on my wife's car coated with this color. Was $500, so not horrible. I would cry first time I scratched it on a rock though, lol!

I'm always torn, I have (and love) Rubicon wheels as well but I also love the ravines and the canyons. I want a set of 15" wheels so I can more easily buy c-load range tires. I keep checking my local craigslist for either but haven't found the right set yet. I keep going back and forth. Some days I want the ravines, some days I want the canyons. Decisions...decisions.

I would rather have the YJ Steel wheels (painted black, which I feel would match my Jeep better), but, those Canyons I found can be had for $100 (5 great condition ones) and are lighter and would break before they ever bent. I'm so torn.
