CJ Wheels on TJ

Truthfully, I like the factory canyon or ravine wheels in 15" or the stock 16" rubicon wheels. All look great. I have the 16" rubi's and they are simple and sharp looking.
I totally forgot about the ravine wheels. They look pretty good, you are right!

Nashorn ..... are the wheels in your pics an 8" item ?
The OEM 'Ravine' are a 15 x 8" .....

I always thought that all factory wheels were 7" wide..I guess then if the Ravine's are 8" wide, then I don't know what those steel wheels are that I posted!

I like those black ones your posted. What size tire are you going to run? Back spacing might be an issue for you with a stock backspaced wheel. I had Canyons on my TJ and liked them, but with 5.5" of BS they rubbed the lower control arm and sway bar when I went with a bigger tire.

Yea the canyons look very characterisitc of the TJ! They look good.

But i'm going to run 31x10.5" tires. I would like a mixture between an AT and a MT tire - however all of the great tire manufacturers don't make a tire like that (Goodyear, BF Goodrich). Everything is either complete MT or street/AT tire.

BFG's KO2 and General Tire AT3 come to mind for a good aggressive AT. Here's a pic from back in the day when I was rocking Canyons on 31x1050x15 BFG KM's.

The Goodyear duratracs are about as close as they come to a mix of MT/AT tires. If you aren't going to do any deep mud this tire is great. I'm really impressed with how they handle and grip in the rain. I've tried to break them loose on an interstate off ramp where my old Goodyear GSA's would spin and I can't do it. So color me impressed. Plus they look great.

Eh i've already considered those, but the KM2's certainly are good tires!

I actually have 33" Duratracs right now! I too am very impressed with them. On the last off-road trip I went on, during the rain and in the mud, I never ever got stuck. I remember when I bought them for $170 a pop, now they are $230 a pop!

I love my factory Rubi's as well especially because of the 33x10 (255/85R16) option. Well, if the 2-3 manufactures keep making them. :-(

I keep reading good things about the Goodyear Wrangler Authority, and they are priced a lot better than Duratracs:
