You have any issues RF grounding your antenna? I never could get mine to ground. I took it to like 3 differnt electronic places and had everything tested and it never worked. I could hear people but my SWR was always above 3. Made no sense. So I cut off the tail lights and installed flush ones as an F U to the antenna. Made my day :) tuning never worked either. Bought Wilson cable Wilson antenna teraflex mount, Cobra radio... waste of time and money.

Yep, had no problem tuning mine. Works like a charm.

Sadly, I bought a manufactured one from Teraflex that does the same thing. I did have an issue tuning my Wilson whip antenna, but I ground my power plug in the rear to the mount from the inside so I know the ground is good, but I changed to a Firefly whip and it tuned fine. The Wilson was bad. I tried it on my truck and couldn't get it to tune there either. Firefly works really good, but I like the flex of the Wilson better. I wish I could have got that to work.

Strange. Did you try replacing it? I've tried fireflies wilsons and no name brand whip antennas and got the same issue with all of them.

Na I didn't try another Wilson, the Firefly worked good, so I just used that. I put a spring under it so I can tuck it into the top fold when I go into parking garages.

Where did you get the dash lights? Were they a pain? I see a bunch on Amazon but they get spotty reviews for the ones I've looked at.
If they are anything like mine they do last well and you can get a variety of colours. You just need to take out your dial cluster and surround which is held in with about 4 screws then it just pops out..the bulbs is a simple pull out the old and pop in the new...20 mins and your done. (did the centre around the temp gauges too)

seriously? i thought it required soldering small lights on the dash

Nope not at all...This is the sort of thing I used...you pull out the original bulb from its holder and push in the new LEDs (shown in Blue) then fit them back into the holes at the back of the dial cluster. I think there is a Utube video showing how its done
