Those G wagons seem to be taking the "Gucci path" around here. I'm seeing them in very particular neighborhoods, sitting in driveways of known rentals. Very trendy, look-at-me bougie mobiles.
Here's one in a neighborhood I'm in and out of every few weeks. This dude has two G wagons now, and a white S class car. The real estate you see there is worth about $250K, so there's that. His life choices impress me.

I just watched the video last night. I'm still confused on how it locks a gear in?
The US isn't the only country with gay people.
I'll give it a shot, but I'm no expert. The levers engage or disengage a clutch pack that locks or unlocks a gear set. I believe #19 is the steels and frictions that make up the clutch pack in each unit, so they have a lot of friction action going on.

Really, as in you had never heard of one? Between my hot roddin' interest and all the time I used to spend at drag racing events, it's just one of those things that is commonly known in those circles. I've seen them and been around them, but never driven one.

You just push the levers in reverse order. I've heard they're not so great downshifting, and for that reason people say they're not a good street trans. Again though, I've never driven one.
So on the way up pull F-1-2-3-4, back down push 4-3-2-1-F

The pic of that RAM reminds me, when I lived in Saudi Auroria, there was this like 06 charger that was mega green and they left the dealership sticker in the back door window, like the MSRP+options sticker. And parked it on the street lol. I'd always see it walking the dog

I don't think they could go fast enough with it. Plus they already have Leroy for stick shift.
Interesting. In theory a Lenco should be as fast or faster than an auto, but it does rely on human input/reaction vs a modern auto being run by a computer.
You can use pneumatic actuators to do the shifting, and program however you like.
It's been a while since I've been hanging around that kind of stuff. I knew about air shifters, but I didn't know they had computers running them, but it makes sense in an evolution kind of fway.
