A bunch of us get together every week here in the UAE and work on Jeeps. When a newbie shows up with an angry bird grill, we shame him and remove it. This week a couple of the guys saved an ABG we had removed and installed it on another guy's TJ. He drove a couple days with it befor he saw it. He was horrified.

While at a NAXJA event in Moab years ago; we placed a Rusty's Off Road parts sticker on the rear differential cover. This owner of the Jeep despised Rusty's; not the guy, but the quality of the parts that were sold by him. When he found the sticker he was mad, but he knew who placed the sticker and saw the humor.

Not a TJ, but the prank that almost got me expelled from college.

Our music professor loved Corvairs and spent many years restoring one. It was really nice. He parked next to the building in a single space with a brick wall on one side and a steep bank on the other. We got a bunch of guys together and picked the car up, turned it sideways. It barely fit and of course was impossible to drive out.

But that was just the warmup. Towards the end of the year he went on vacation. We somehow convinced his wife that pranking him by messing with the car was a great tradition, and she left the keys with one of us. We went to his house, drove it to the school, and rented a crane. A big crane. We put it on the roof of the music building, it was 4 stories tall. Left the keys in his mailbox by his office with a clever note of some kind, I forget what we wrote but it was supposed to lead him to the roof. It didn't, he was super pissed, mostly at his wife for giving us the keys, and we almost got expelled. Good times.
