hello everyone, new member here. PLEASE help me. I have a 2003 Jeep Rubicon that I had since new. my darn throw out Berring just went out and I'm going to replace the clutch and flywheel if I ever get the top passenger side bolt out. it's the E12 bolt. I tried just about everything. please tell me there is an easier way to remove it! this thing is driving me crazy I mean driving me more insane than I already am!! I have tried lowering the engine with no luck. unfortunately, I'm doing it by myself. please help me get this thing out before I have to ask my wife to assist!!!! that will not be fun. lol

What’s the issue? Is it rounded? Seized? Can’t reach it?

I used about 3 feet of extensions and a wobble and it came right out.

yea I just can't get to it, I mean I can reach it barley but getting a good angle is my issue. did you lower the engine some? I did just order a 24-inch extension as I was trying a bunch of diff lengths which was a mess. did you use an impact? thanks for your time.

Drop the transmission quite a bit but have someone watch the fan to make sure it doesn't crash into the shroud.

If you haven't removed the shifter or shift tower I'd do that now.

I usually start with the top bolts.

Yeah you’ll get it then. Lots of extensions and a universal and it’ll come right out. I didn’t use an impact. Just a ratchet.

How long will it take to get? Harbor Freight carries them in stock if you have one close.

This is completely off topic….my wife sees me on this page all the time and sometimes just likes to see what’s going on. She about pissed herself when she ready your handle on here (pun fully intended) 😁 just thought I would share. It helped us at the end of a rough day

I’m here to serve my friend. 🫡 😂

So, I finely got the clutch in and now it will not start, after looking around the transmission I see a harness I forget to connect however I don't see where it connects to the transmission without lowering it again.is there a wire diagram anywhere that might show me where it goes before I lower it again. thanks in advance.

First guess would lean on the crank posistion sensor causing your issue, upper left 10 -clock looking from behind the trasmission. it's wiring crosses over the bell housing coming up the passenger firewall. Critical to start/run.

The sensor on the tranny is the reverse light switch and 4wd selction is on the transfr case. Neither would prevent starting. both near front driveshaft.
