I set the cruise on 85 mph driving across South Dakota, 300+ miles of 80 mph speed limit interstate. I'd probably sell it if I couldn't drive it like that. The 70 mph roads here are usually flowing 80.

As @Woodrow said mine seems to be governed in the mid 90's, you can hold it to the floor and it won't accelerate.

I don't need to go that fast in something that weighs 25K lbs... I've learned when to slow down & as stated I don't want to pay the fuel bill just to go that fast... Yes I KNOW what the speed limits are in most western states and YEP I've driven that fast when I wasn't paying the fuel bill. Or when I was on my bike.. But even then my MPG went down a huge amount... I'll get there when I get there.

The best MPGs I've ever gotten in my jeep is running high RPMs going really fast on the way to Moab!!

Sorry to be that guy but the first sentence on that page says "A de Dion axle is a form of non-independent automobile suspension."

Center section stays in place, wheels act together like a live axle. So not independent wheel motion but definitely not a live axle.

Weird concept.

I was talking about the Jeep. But I get it, old people tend to drive slow.
