Basket's Build

Lmao just jail, not prison!! Just overnight stays for stupid shit. A DWUI (was BS), trespassing into an apartment pool while on probation, I think there was one other one once

Hehehehehe, I spent a few nights in jail too.... Mine was stupid shit but never a DUI (amazingly).... I wanted to drive a car I'd just bought but had to get it inspected. This was in Germany, so I borrowed the plates off a buddies car I knew was home on leave... Then even more stupid I went onto the base for some reason. Got pulled over by the MP's... 2 nights in jail & then got into a LOT of trouble with my command.
Never been in a civilian jail.

I remember it being cold AF in my cell every time. Made it absolutely miserable. And then that one time I had to take my nipple piercings out and get them redone when I came out because they closed up 🙄

OK now I'm not sure if I should take you seriously or not....

Had to do welfare checks on my soldiers at least once every weekend per my command.... So go by the barracks and find out that the MP's had just called about one of my troops...
He'd been picked up for open container & public urination. But by the time I'd got to the jail he's now shackled laying on the floor with only his boxers on. He sort of looks like a trussed up calf at a rodeo... His arms are behind his back and his legs are bent at the knees towards his butt. His wrists are cuffed and so are his ankles and then they'd cuffed the two together...

I guess the OIC (Officer in Charge) that night was this pretty little redhead 1st Lt... And she'd come walking past his cell. Well on her next time past he'd stripped down to his boxers and had his dick out shaking it at her yelling "Yohoo Bitch I've got 10" of Prime USDA Approved Meat for Your Hot Redhead Pussy). So they tried to get him dressed and he'd puked all over himself & them. So his clothes that were on the floor are covered in puke, he's pissed off the OIC & the other MP's on duty plus now has additional charges against himself.
I arrive at the jail and after getting chewed out by the OIC & NCOIC I get to sign for my soldier and am going to take him back to the barracks. It's Ft Lewis in February so it's cold outside and I'm in my brand new Toyota 4WD pickup. He goes to get into the cab and I'm like no fucking way, get in the bed & hold on. I drive as fast as I possibly can to freeze his ass on the 10 mile drive (I took the LONG way around).

That was the 3rd and last time I had them pierced. It's never fun

Hahahahaha dude was asking for it 🤣

Never buying a car without a title again

I learned that lesson too. There's a 99% chance I won't buy anymore without a clean title.

If the VIN came back as stolen

I had a high school friend who bought a car from a local used car seller. The guy sold it to him needing an engine, so my friend bought it, got it home, sent off the paper work for a title and got to work on it. About 2 weeks later things came back that car was stolen, and recovery efforts would be made. That was a shitshow. In that two-week period, he had done quite a bit of work to the car that had to be undone in just hours before the car went bye-bye. He and his dad "persuaded" the shady dealer to give his money back and haul it back to his lot for pickup. My friend was free and clear of that situation, but the dealer had some legal trouble and wound up shutting down after that. Guy had a '68 Charger around back that he was bragging about, but his story about it just didn’t line up. I've always wondered what happened to that car.

10 years later, the place was overgrown and for sale.

Yeah lol I figured it'd be a pain in the ass but I didn't expect that. I did check the VIN on the .gov website that checks if a VIN was stolen before buying, but I'm not sure that's as thorough as what the popo did.

Wow weird sketchy. Yep I asked the cop about all the money I put into the car and he was like uhhh yeah sorry you would lose it all.

You should buy that lot and see if that charger is still back there 😏 I wonder if you'd still get hit like that if you went through the abandoned on property process

That's what a bonded title policy covers.

An overhead view dated this year shows there are still vehicles on the property. Theoretically, in NC, if the real estate transfers the vehicles are considered personal property, unless stipulated differently in the contract, but after a given amount of time and documented effort they are considered abandoned. I highly doubt that Charger is still in the trees because the cops cleared that place out a few months later. There were still cars left up front, but most of the "back lot" (parts cars and whatnot) were gone.

Yeah but it has to be roadworthy to pass the inspection too! So a bit of a catch-22.

Not here. My dad went through that process a few years ago, and another guy we know did it too. Basically, the state inspector just needed to see all the major identified parts (body, frame, engine) so they could investigate if stolen. They came to my dads' car, and the guy we know actually dragged a '50s ford truck out of the brush, onto a trailer and hauled it to the inspector. Once cleared and insured, a 3-year bonded title was issued for each vehicle.

There's an idea, but they're also known to shoot trespassers around here, and I happen to like my ass with only the one hole in it. :sneaky:

Oh that's nice!! I'm lucky the county sheriff did it, the form does show inspection stuff and he checked it all off but he wasn't crazy thorough. The CO highway patrol I know checks all your lights, windshield, makes sure your dash lights work, and crap like that. Although I thought that was who I had to go through originally so I'm already past that... Shits ready to drive already.

Haha true yeah probably not worth it 🤣

MR2 VIN inspection complete and passed 🥳

If the VIN came back as stolen I was goin' to jail, I did not know that was a possible outcome. Never buying a car without a title again

I'm in the same boat. I had a skip title, which I didn't know was illegal. I can't get my Wrangler licensed for the life of me. Once I get my projects done to it I'm try again. F the CSP....

Damn! That sucks, you might have to do a bonded title too then? At least you know it isn't stolen right? The dude I bought it from was never registered as an owner so who tf knows how it came into his possession

Yeah, I have to do a bond.... So lame.

That is dumb. I can try to answer questions for you if you want since I am doing it lol.

I think you can present a proof of a savings account balance or a government bond (like an I-bond) of the same value to avoid paying a bond company, I am going to try to go that route.
