I got the tactical seats because based on the reviews and photos they look much better fitting. It looks like there is better cushioning built in. I like the contrast colors and mole functions.
Extra $120 bucks was well worth it to get upgraded seat covers. I was able to get them for less from 4x4 outfiter they had a sale for $370 + free shipping.

I see that you are returning them.

FWIW,I have the tactical covers and they never had that bubble. I suspect it is because the style you chose uses a single panel for the upper front where all the others posted here, including mine, have the three panel construction.

That said... I'd bet they would have stretched to fit after using them for a bit

The problem with hoping they would stretch to fit is their return policy is 30 days and I have had them for a couple weeks already so I don't want to miss out on that window.

I have the Base set (going on 5 years) and haven't had any issues with fit or looks.
Unfortunately, I don't remember how they fit when I first installed them.

I want to update this. I have been emailing with their customer service and they agreed that my seat covers were incorrectly made.

They offered to upgrade me to the tactical covers at no charge. They won't be available for a month or so and I will try and update the fit on the tactical covers when I get them.

I am happy overall with the customer service but can't give them my seal of approval until I get the replacement covers installed.

Now that's a happy ending.

I had the other Bartact so long (5+ yrs) that I didn't know they were called tactical but they do have more than one front panel and more molle panels than I know what to do with.

I remember when I installed them that I wasn't sure that I liked how they looked especially since just those two front covers were about $300. IIRC mine had some minor wrinkles in the "shoulder areas" but my main concern was that the lower front of the back seemed to go straight across from side to side instead of curving back like the stock seats did. When driving with them for the first time I will say that they felt way better than my not abused 60,000 mile seats that I put them on and hoped I could get used to the wrinkles and that weird straightness. Probably a week or so later I realized that those covers had broken in quite well and looked like I expected to begin with. Even the passenger side that the wife was only in a couple times at that point looked right.

To be honest I still think it's weird that those seat covers kinda needed a break in period but it didn't stop me from buying some for the wife's JK. For the record, her's looked and felt perfect from day one.
