Back to a TJ

Sounds good.

28 years is great- I bet you met some of the people you teach about😆😆

I would love to hear your theory on historical accuracy.

I once heard the statement of “history is a written set of well ordered lies. “

I’m not saying that I think that is the case but I do wonder if our perception and even romantic idealism distorts our view.

My view of previous cultures and time frames in history is that things were a lot tougher than we imagine.

Do you still have that BLM sign in your yard (Bud Light Matters) ? 🇺🇸

Welcome back to the OP! I’ve got a 2018 JLR 3.6 alongside my LJ. My JL has been a good DD and cross country runner for the 4 or so years I’ve had her, maybe a bit lucky it sounds. Getting a bit nervous about big ticket repairs now cracking 68k miles.

I’ve gone too far with my LJ to the a DD but maybe another TJ/LJ will fit the bill soon to replace my JL 😃. Keep it simple!

At while ago my son and I had 5 Jeeps between us. Not bragging, they just kind of, well, happened. An 89 YJ, 3 TJ's and a brand new 2008 JK. The YJ rusted away, the TJ Sahara played submarine shortly after and didn't recover. Ran the 2 remaining TJ's and the new JK for a few years. Came to realize after the initial excitement of having a brand new JK that neither of us cared for it, it wasn't a "real" Jeep, we were always jumping in the TJ's instead. Sold the JK, never regretted doing so, and never looked for another.

Nice find. I also recently came back to a TJ. In between my last one I've had a JKU, a JLU and a JT. I never had major problems with any of them but the technology always bothered me. Especially when I was in the middle of nowhere.

I looked at a few TJs and lucked onto a stock 2005 Sport with 102K miles. I smile every time I drive it.
