Audio / speaker setup choices

When ya'll installed the 6.5's in the pods did you use any type of adaptors or just screw them into the face of the pods?
I put Kicker CS's in Select Increments pods in the dash and I have a set of 6.5 CS's for the pods but havent mounted them yet
I went with an Alpine multi media head unit (mostly stream from my MP3 player) and I plan on installing a mini soundstream amp under the steering column where the Sat radio box was
I went with Kicker 6.75. It appeared to me at the time the 6.5 would be a problem mounting on the surface. The 6.5 won't go in the recess but there will not be a lot of overlap on the top surface for them to rest.

The 6.5" mount right into place. Look at post numbers 11 and 15 for pics.

Soundstream makes great amps, I have a 4 channel in my Jeep right now. If you have a center console subwoofer, you should consider a 5 channel amplifier like the Cerwin Vega B55 Bomber.

NICE!!!!!!
I noticed that the CS's had a second set of inner mounting holes I just haven't had time to disassemble everything and look yet.
When I figure out what I'm going to do about a sub I planned on running it on it's own mini amp (D class amps have gotten a lot better)

Why run two amps instead of one? Seriously, two power and ground wires, and that B55 Bomber will fit under the steering column. @isaac2098 recently installed one and could provide feedback.

This is the 4 channel Soundstream I currently have installed, but I also have an 8 channel. This Soundstream is powering two 10" subwoofers and easily does the job. You could grab this plus a mono amp, but I would just say that it is so much easier of an install with one amplifier and power/ground.

Haven’t installed mine yet but I can also say the bomber B55 is crazy small for the power rating.

You make a very good point, haven't made any solid decisions on Amps and now I have more decisions to make
The Soundstream 1200d is what I was looking at

I can attest to having the Cerwin Vega B55 and it has worked great for my kicker 5.25 dash speakers, kicker 6.5 sound bar speakers, and kicker 6.75 center console sub. It creates a really nice punch without it being deafening, and it has an adjustable bass knob that can be mounted somewhere convenient, still have yet to mount mine because I hardly ever adjust the bass. @skrelnik knows so much about whats needed to have great audio in these little vehicles and helped me out a ton, don't hesitate to ask any other questions you have.

This Soundstream is a solid amp, you are picking a good one. It just comes down to powering that subwoofer and if you want a second amplifier with the wires. I used to have two amps under my dash, a Kenwood 4 channel and Arc Audio 2 channel, but it was just easier to install one amplifier.

I see the logic and I like it
