Anyone using a Quad Lock phone mount

I just switched over to the Quad Lock phone holder on the bikes, and it would be convenient if I also had this type of mount to secure the phone in the TJ rather than just using the cup holder or tucking it under my leg.
Being able to see the navigation/traffic on screen would be a bonus.
My issue is the cost and variety of mounting options. There aren't that many; they want $60+ for most of them, and I don't see a single one that would work well for the TJ dash - especially since I really don't want to drill into it or glue a pad to it.
I'm not afraid of spending $$ where needed (or wanted), but WHICH Quad Lock mounting options have worked for others in the TJ?

$60? You spend more than that feeding the thing. Just buy the mount!

I never got around to using the Quad Lock when I had my TJ but I use it in everything else including my F150.

Obviously not the one you're asking about but I also didn't want to drill into the dash and I didn't want something in the line of sight thru the windshield.

I've had this one for quite a while and really like it for those reasons, plus I can move it between the TJ and the 05 Dmax. Fits nicely on the passenger grab bar on both vehicles.

It's not a question of 'do I buy the mount or if I do not buy the mount'; it's a question of WHICH ONE WORKED WELL IN A TJ FOR OTHERS?
I've had poor success w/ the suction cup version w/ a GoPro on the near vertical windshield of the Wrangler, and I'm hoping to see what solutions others may be using that I haven't seen - or already excluded.

And yes, a $60 mount is far less than a new phone, so it's pretty cheap insurance since we drive w/o doors or top most of the year...
I already had to retrieve a phone from an intersection once and I definitely do not wish to try that again., so I'm buying some type of Quad Lock mount, and just like options for GoPro cameras and lights, there are a lot of ways to go about it (some less graceful or functional than others).

BTW, just scouring the ol interweb and I came up with these:

I have one. Mine was for the 2000. I didn't like it, it blocked the AC too much, got in my way and I'd somehow bump it when shifting and it would fly off and land on the passenger floor. I ended up getting this one which doesn't require any extra holes in your dash and is completely reversible. However, the device holding part was not as good as the A-Tach so I swapped them around and now it's perfect. It doesn't get in my way and being tall it's well below my line of sight. Plus it gave me a place for my sunglasses and clock. So yeah between the two units I'm probably into it for almost a hundred but it's only money.

I've got a wireless charge QuadLock in the TJ & Motorhome & Pan America and then just a standard QuadLock in my Ram 2500. I'd gone to it when I bought the Pan America for a way to hold my phone plus charge it. The mount I have in my TJ is mounted on my V-bars of my cage so it's not really a part of the normal TJ dash.

I also have the BulletPoint mount in my Ram and can attest to how much I like it and how sturdy it is but can't say what one in a TJ is like. I do know of others who have used past to mount the ball mount onto the radio/HVAC trim that looked good.

For reference, I'm currently using these options. One mounted behind the glovebox door (similar to the grab bar versions I'm seeing):
This version worked great when the phone and case was a match for it.
Since the upgrade, this one no longer works without the additional bungee cord.

and this one which I mounted closer to the cockpit/driver area that attaches behind the dash pod:

We have 2 mounts because we have 2 phones in the vehicle and zero places to put either of them.

I'm leaning toward the driver location being a powered bracket, and I'll just use a USB cable to charge the phone in the grab bar mount.

Since the charging heads are a bit heavy I'll need to get creative with the shape of the mounting bracket to stiffen it up and take the vibration out of it.

Here's a little idea if you still use a wired charging connection, to keep the cord out of the way. I use one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RKPZYM3?tag=wranglerorg-20 (which also has a nice volt meter) and my cord plugs into one of the bottom USB ports then is threaded up behind the dash where I brought it out through the defrost grill. The cord just stays there all the time and when not in use it hangs nicely right between the dash bezel and the center bezel. Before I did this my cord was always getting in the way of the shifter.

I played with it a bit today and came up with this as a starting point for my 'anchor'.
Two vertical "L-brackets" pointing up between the radio bezel and gauge pod; one on the left, and another in the same location on the right, between the radio bezel and the passenger airbag.
I'll probably run a round tube between them so I can secure my stuff off of that, who knows... depends what I find laying around and what else I feel like buying.

Next on the list is to scrounge up a 12 1/2" length of pipe, tubing, etc. and some hardware to mount it.
