Anyone into knives?

Great story, and good on them for taking you in!! Nice looking knife! How's it feel in hand, specifically the balance?

Manual knife vs assault knife!

I have a flashlight made from mg. Its lighter than Al. As a heatsink it transfers maximum amount of heat into your hand allowing higher output at longer intervals. Its pretty amazing, even though its highly corrosive, will burn and is reactive to water!! Im a big fan of mg fire and quick to pass the nozzle to the new guy 😆 🤣

It feels good in the hand. It's noticeably lighter than other knives of this size. I don't really notice the balance being a factor, but it is higher.

I have a CHL and can carry a gun concealed, but not a switchblade. So dumb.

Happy holidays to me.
Kershaw livewire made in USA, magnacut steel OTF.

I did something similar recently. I was trying to remove some tape from some wires. The tape gave way and the momentum pushed the tip my Very sharp Kershaw into my knuckle. Small cut but deep. I’m on blood thinners so there was lots of blood. Hard to keep even a fabric bandaid on a knuckle. All the bloody paper towels in the bathroom trash freaked out the Wife. Good as new now but the scar precludes me from having a hand model career.

Yep, I have cut myself way to many times.

Both hands have plenty of scars.

Been there - bought new steak knifes. Within a week, I was washing dishes and put one of them that was handle-down in a bowl right into the finger-crotch on one of my hands... o_O

Cautionary tale from your 'momentum' story - I had a coworker who was working at home removing cable clips for coax in his attic using a small screwdriver. He pulled at one and it gave way. He hit himself in the head and was in a lot of pain - thinking he had hit himself in the forehead (likely adrenaline or shock kicked in).

After checking himself over, he realized he had stabbed the middle of his eye.... After a lot of surgeries, he ended up still with partial blindness in the eye - did recover some sight but very far from a full recovery.

That stressed PPE to me very hard as a lesson - learn from others mistakes. I find myself stopping right before or in the first few seconds of a task to stop, get the right PPE, and then proceed. Or, when it comes to momentum, I stop a task and re-position to be pushing a knife away from me.

I like Morakniv and have a few. This was given to me at a trade show a couple weeks ago. Has a flint rod in the handle. I don't typically go for stuff in knife handles, but this seems to work. We'll see how it holds up.

You can kill something AND set it on fire. One stop shopping.

So much win :D

+1. You can often find their less popular colors on sale for $10-15. Great toolbox, gear bag knives.

Need a little help here, I have a complete set of yellow handle Case pocket knives.

As you can see the handles have shrunk and cracked and have green oxidation on them.

This set is complete 1965 - 1969 minus boxes.

Would it be worth getting them rescaled???? When I got them they were mint and book value was $1500.00 for them.

My dad put them up in his closet and this is what they look like now 24 years later.
