Anyone ever purchase from Jeep Yard on Facebook Marketplace?

Hello, anyone ever heard of “JEEP YARD” on Facebook Marketplace? I want to order some parts and they respond rather quickly. But I want to make sure it’s a legit site. Any experience with them? Here is the FB link to their site:

Seems legit with their prices. Use Paypal and you won't have to worry about it.

I've been curious about them myself. If you decide to buy something from them just make sure to use a payment method that provides protection like a credit card or PayPal. If you use PayPal make sure NOT to use their Friends & Family option which removes the normal protection offered by PayPal. Personally I'd use PayPal since I don't like to give out a credit card # any more than I have to.

If they ask you to pay by any other means than PayPal goods and services (or by means of using your credit card) then they are not to be trusted.

Simple as that. If they ask you for CashApp, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal friends and family then you are almost certainly being scammed.

Yea, so after looking into this further, I am under the impression this is potentially a Scam. Because sure enough they are asking me to pay with either Venmo, Zelle, Cash app, or PayPal. And, it’s odd that their pictures have all different backgrounds.. looks like someone just screenshot internet photos. By the way, I also found the REAL Jeep Yard…

I contacted BOTH to ensure .. and the FAKE Jeep Yard said they are affiliated with the VA location and are located in TX … and when I asked the REAL Jeep Yard, they said they only have 1 location in VA.

Also, the REAL Jeep Yard has legit reviews and you can see all of his photos are from the same yard.

To be safe, I am not even going to try purchasing from the FAKE one.

Lastly, the REAL Jeep Yard said he’s all out of hardtops and normally he charges around $1,200 + tax and freight if shipped … while the FAKE Jeep Yard said he would only charge me $850 with tax and shipping included from TX to CA … sounds too good to be true!

Yep, it's a scam.

Legitimate businesses don't do that. Never use those services to pay for things online unless you know the person personally or it's an in-person transaction.

If you don't pay through PayPal goods and services or with your credit card you have no recourse if something happens.

Also, look at how CLOSE the URL's are that I copied in the message above .. they are almost identical ... so someone is trying to rip them off. Not to mention, most of these fake accounts seem to have almost No likes and No comments on their photos, and their accounts don't have much history to scroll thru .. just like in this case.

Yep I noticed that. Facebook is a cesspool of scammers just like this. I’d never buy anything off FB personally unless it was a local marketplace item.

I tried to purchase a part from them steering box for a cj3a he said he had it 200 bucks so okay send him the money then he chooses or they choose a shipping company that said that they needed me to purchase insurance to have the package delivered and I said that was would be us so I finally paid the $149 extortion fee for the insurance. The next day I get a text from the shipper telling me I need to now pay for 2 days of storage of the part for another $$165 it's a rip off unfortunately I am just not going to deal with them anymore not get my part and eat the money I'm already out this was Jeep Yard don't trust them!

i’ve made multiple posts about this particular scammer. facebook does nothing about it . it’s very frustrating… i just wanted to let you know there is a legit Jeepyard located in chesterfield Va. quick google search you’ll find my business page/ebay/ facebook/ reviews. once again i’m sorry he scammed you. you’re not the only one he’s gotten.
