I guess you missed my next post as to why I wanted it. Starting it from the comforts of my recliner is just an added benefit...
"Goddess forbid" anyone actually "want" to have some convenience in their life. It's not at all about being trained by marketing! It's about maximizing efficiency where you can and not wasting time away from family in my particular case. I made an investment to give me back some time at home, not to mention it keeps me from unnecessarily freezing my ass off waiting for my vehicle to get warm and thaw out.

High temp tomorrow is currently supposed to be 1° freedom. If I have to start the truck it’ll be remote started so the electric heat, heated seats and steering wheel are ready for me.
I don't use the heated seats and steering wheel in the JTR on the mail route as it is, so It'd be a huge waste of time and money to put something like that in the TJ. I was just happy to get to my Jeep last winter and not have to scrape windows or wait for it to warm up.
My jeeps don’t see snow nor anything that cold.
First vehicle I had that got remote start was a ‘92 Ford fucking Ranger. I think the remote start system cost like $50 from JC Whitney and worked pretty well for the technology limitations at the time.
