Short barrel AR's are louder than my 18" barrel .338 Win Mag with a muzzle brake and they think they need one too... I stand away about 4 lanes when they start slinging lead. My cheeks shake at our county range I volunteer at...not a pleasant time at all. Almost as bad as getting an idiot to point a loaded weapon at you with that stupid look on their face...

About a year ago, I was testing some body armor and could not get on my usual slot. I was put with some other guys doing a class on one side and some steel shooters on the other. After ranging, I was back under the awning but safe of course (30yds 308). I had a venom brake on it. Never thought it would ring like that. I had to apologize to everyone LOL
I can show you what the one on the left does to a leg. Damn an inch left or right and it would have just been a flesh wound.
