Personally I’ve got two 6mm barrels on the shelf I’d like to chamber in .243 Ackley Improved eventually. If you run out of reloads you can still shoot off the shelf .243 and fire form the shoulder at the same time.

Not sure I share your sentiment, gravity is always consistent wind velocity and direction are not...
Edit: as for dropping subsonic, per the same website and that particular ammo,
"For extreme long range shooting, both the Eagle Eye 6mm and 6.5 Creedmoor maintain supersonic flight for significant distances. Both cartridges will being to enter subsonic velocities at approximately 1,450-1,500 yards depending on atmospherics. The extended range to which both cartridges remain supersonic contributes to enhanced bullet stability and increased hit probability at longer distances past 1,000 yards.
