The reason the cable breaks is the cable release loop is NOT the pull handle to flip the seat forward. When you pull on that loop to flip the seat forward, it binds the folding mechanism release and stresses the cable. The correct way to do it is with two hands. One on top of the seat to push it back slightly to free up the release mechanism and then pull the loop. While holding the loop under tension, use the other hand to tip the seat forward a couple of inches and then release the loop.
Using the loop to flip the seat by itself is about the same as towing the rig around by the hood release. It isn't made for it.
Yes they are still around and no it doesn’t require moving the A/C compressor. It didn’t on my 2005 at least.

I’ve read and read your posts about them for the past few years. I value your opinion and following your advice as boosted tech is next option. Have a 5.7 LS out of a burb but I’m tired of this Jeep and just want easiest least amount of stress option
I would highly advise against Boosted Tech after my experience with them. If you can find a Banks turbo kit, that would be the far better option
