So I took my 2000 wrangler for annual inspection. Runs great, no check engine light, should be quick and easy. First prob was when I pulled up a young man and a very young girl came out and asked if manual or auto. When I said auto he said 'good, she does the inspections but cant drive a stick'. Second prob. - FAIL! Said it was catalitoc converter and o2 sensor readings. Asked if it sits for long periods of time. Actually yes- it's a weekend jeep so I only put about 30 miles or so on it once or twice a month. Suggested I drive it 100 miles to get it hot and burn off CC and o2 'stuff' and it should clear up. Sound right or should I just try another inspection place? Thx

Sounds 100% right. You've got to drive it for 100 miles or so to get the systems working properly so they can test it and it won't fail.

Happened to me on previous vehicles.

Fortunately where we live now, there is no inspections!
