Unfortunately my Jeep needs quite a few parts at the same time, so I can't splurge on tires. The Jeep is my daily, but my commute is short. My area is mostly dry and rocky, but there is the occasional bit of mud. Snow and ice are not a concern. I am currently running Cooper STT Pros and have been satisfied with them. I'm looking for a 33x10.5r15, but 33x12.5r15 is also acceptable.
  • Cooper STT Pro at $277/tire
  • Cooper Evolution MT at $202/tire
  • General Grabber X3 at $266/tire - 33x10.5r15 available.
  • General Grabber at A/TX $243/tire
  • Falken MT01 at $277/tire
  • Falken A/T3W at $232/tire

I'm still deciding if I want an MT or AT, but so far I'm leaning towards the Cooper Evolution MTs. Does anybody here have experience with them? From what I've read they seem to be pretty similar to my STT Pros, but with a couple of cost cutting measures in the compound/siping/side lugs.

I have a set of Cooper Evolution MTs in 33x12.5x15 on my LJ. I've had them for roughly 10K miles and have been happy. For a M/T tire, they are relatively quiet on pavement have have performed well off road. They have also worn evenly but then I'm quite particular with getting a proper alignment after buying an expensive set of new tires. I typically run them at 28psi on the pavement and air down a little on dirt just for an improvement in ride quality on rough roads/trails. Seem to perform ok in heavy rain...and like you, I don't have much snow/ice in my area so I can't comment on that but they've worked well in muddy conditions.

Cooper AT3 LTX. $152 @ Walmart. Got them on my tj and putting a set on my Ram next week. Supposed to run 60,000 miles.

Just saw 33/10.5/15 BFG KM2 at Walmart for $228.31

Add Mastercraft Courser MXT to the mix. I'm going to need some new 35s soon and they're the least expensive name brand (Cooper) tire I've found.
