I’ve been looking into adding an aux port into the factory radio on my 2005 TJ and after looking around the board, I couldn’t find a soldering point for left and right for the CD player. So I thought about it and wondered if I could just splice into the speaker cables, that led me into wondering if I can link the front and rear speakers in parallel therefore only having 2 audio channels instead of 4, making it easier to add in an aux port. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm now looking for that adapter but can't find one that is either a reasonable price as I live in Australia so they're like $150 AUD after shipping or not discontinued. Due to being able to use that cable, couldn't I make my own cable for it, and add in the necessary connections?

check for a local electronics repair shop. they may be able to hook you up with something that will work for you.
