Acceptable Aftermarket Replacement Parts

What are some aftermarket brands people have used to replace factory parts, and what parts would you not mind not being genuine Mopar items?

I agree with most here that sensors should basically always be Mopar since the aftermarket ones can cause erratic behavior, but what about other wear items like engine mounts? It's just rubber, right?

What items have people had actual issues with?

Two things that immediately come to mind that I've bought and had issues with are:

1. Dorman PCV valve elbow - original one cracked after 20+ years. Dorman replacement cracked and dry rotted in less than 1 year.
2. Crown inner shift boot and shifter seal - same story as above, rubber ripped within first year on both parts

Nope! Bought another Dorman part because CA SMOG test place didn't like my red self vulcanizing tape.

Napa Echlin usually works good for sensors...worked perfectly for my Crank Position Sensor on my 97 but their oil pressure sensor was no bueno...suspect they gave me the dummy light version.

Amazon Bosch pump died quickly. Really would like to find a reputable source for that pump so I can fix my assembly. Or maybe I just got unlucky.

My Napa Spectra radiator installed by the PO is holding on as is my Napa water pump... almost been a year.

Melling timing chain set and oil pump are great. Felpro RMS seal is crap...put in three before I used a Mopar and it's still dry. Felpro oil pan and valve cover seals work perfectly.

Black Magic Brakes and Wizard Recovery Gear. Nutserts for my skid pan are spot on. Rotors and pads are magic!

Eaton e-lockers are great...need to convert them back to the provided wiring and relays...I don't think they like my wiring and occasionally don't engage.

On the hunt for a speed sensor.

Recently installed a Bosch fuel pump I bought through RockAuto. Fuel level sensor was not functional so now I have to drop the tank again and replace. Maybe something changed with the quality of Bosch fuel pumps.

I got mine through Amazon...do you have a link to what you ordered? I suspect anything and everything on Amazon... getting as bad a Ebay.

Parts are always a crap shoot , I have always had good luck with OEM parts , that said I have had success with parts that are hated on the Forum , ( I've had an Airtec fuel pump installed in our 99 4.0 since 2010 with zero issues ) . And An Echlin TPS since 2009, no issues. Thankfully our TJ hasn't needed many parts since we bought it in 2008 and added 107000 miles to it . As they say " Your mileage may vary ".
