A discussion about shocks

I have the LSC adjusters which I learned, months after purchasing, are not conducive to a good ride.
If you would like the name of a tuner to send them to that will make them work perfectly, I can supply that via a private message. I describe perfectly as one end of the adjustment range being too loose and not as firm as we like and the other end being too harsh.

The issue with the LSC is the original application is from a snowmobile shock so the adjuster is actually too small to be on a 2.0 shock. Well, for most folks that is.

Where are y'all buying shims. I think I'll buy #30, #50, and #70 for compression and #70 rebound stacks two of each. Is there a better way to get them?
I used kartek, I started ordering through poly but kartek had better prices and cheaper shipping at the time. I also think 70 is a very big compression stack that you may not use. You can buy individual shims if you're just after some of those.

The LSC unit itself, or a shim setup/shock mod that allows the LSC to work correctly? By that I mean does the tuner modify the LSC to work "correctly" in a general application or is he offering a whole package (revalve/modification to LSC/shock). I wouldn't mind shipping out and paying to make the LSC work, I don't want to ship my shocks out at this point.

My weight is fairly static anyways my thinking in the LSC was the tune that came with them would be close but not quite but since I'm revalving myself anyways I don't mind losing them.

Thank you for the insight either way though.

If your guy is interested or hasn't had one made yet, I've got a program for the lathe at work to make a spanner tool to disassemble the LSC adjusters. The aluminum didn't work so well, but the stainless one I made is holding up so far.

Offer also goes for anyone else that wants one, just PM me

A bit of tech for the nerdier jeepers out there.

SDI racing, today released thier new universal kit. Basically it's a semi active shock controller, similar to what the Raptor, Trx, bison etc are utilizing. They have been producing a shock package for the JK and JL for a while now with some impressive results. I have seen videos to a JLUR keeping up with raptors in the whoops.

The new kit is universal and replaces the remote reservoir on any shock.

Interesting stuff

I ride with a couple JKUs on 40s. They both need rebuilds. I have no idea what is in a JK off the shelf shocks have in them so I ordered the 70 stacks.
