A/C upgrade

Has anyone taken an AC system from a newer TJ (2000's model) with dial knob controls and replaced an old TJ AC system with the slide controls? I am pretty sure that air box for both are interchangeable but was unsure of the wiring and vacuum lines for the knob controls

Same here. I prize my '98 manual AC over any of my newer vehicles with more complicated systems.

Absolutely! This isn’t an upgrade, it’s a downgrade!

The slide controls with AC settings are hard to find I think
