A/C issue

I recently bought a 2001 TJ. There are a lot of issues with this one, but I plan on tackling them on my own and trying to learn more about Jeeps. But this issue is bothering me, considering the hot weather here in NY. The HVAC system is running fine, but it only blows warm air. I replaced the Blower, blower motor resistor, and control system. Now, the issue I am having is that there is no A/C, it's constantly blowing warm air. Tried recharging the system, but it holds for 1 min, and then it dies. After a closer look, I found out that the suction line connecting the evaporator to the condenser is leaking pressure.

The circled part is where it is leaking. Is there a simple temporary fix until I can get the replacement part? Or is the only way is to replace the hose?

I also plan on replacing the Evap eventually.

Thank you for all the Inputs.

There is no temporary fix for a bad line. It’s also a bad idea to fix one leak and postponing the repair of another known leak. Fix your leaks and get the system tight. Replace the drier, evacuate and charge.

Fooling around with leaks rather than tightening up the system opens up the possibility of the leak allowing moisture in the system which combines with refrigerant to make an acid that-will eat things up from the inside out.

There is only one way to repair a referigeration system and that is to do it completely. Patching it here and there will make for many more problems in the long term.

Hope this helps.
