I live in MN where the winters are cold. I am having a terrible time with air flow of the heating system. I have replaced the blower motor and it is certainly blowing away....but very little of it's air actually makes it out the vent. It has some flow but it is hard to get comfortable in the winter. The air is hot so it isn't that it is not heating, it is specifically that the air is not being forced out. I have put a borescope in the vent to see if there was an obstruction of some kind (mouse nest for example) and there wasn't anything that jumped out. I put the leaf blower underneath with the recycle flap open to see if I got a cloud of dust or something that would indicate and obstruction with no luck. I though perhaps the the blower motor wasn;t sealed to the mounting surface, but their doesn't seem to be a gasket around the blower, instead it looks like an overlapping plastic flange so that seems solid. I checked to see if there was anyway I could have plugged the wires in backwards so that the motor is turning the wrong way...they are poke-yoked so that you cannot do this.
What am I not considering??!!....the wife is starting to pine for having a "professional" take a look...YIKES!
