I cant believe you are all so irate that i could pull that off... basically idled around 6 miles a day for a month and a half. 1100 rpm slowly building speed up, maintaining average speed around 30 mph. Every pitch of road. I can use. I use camber too so i can build natural speed through gravity on a curve. a subtle pitch of this road was where my torque band met perfectly fine. And the pitch down was just coasting. It wasnt fun by any means... i also had to time every single light flawlessly too and traffic. Only driving at specific times of day. Low humidity... it was all perfect scenarios. Unless you geniuses dont understand torque and the mpg of an idling jeep. One thing i did notice. I couldnt afford the larger radius tires for my jeep. It was around 100$ more per tire for the proper spec, and the older tires i used were worn well down and the largest you can fit. That too aids in the torque band and average speed. However subtly. I noticed around 5 mpg drop using these smaller michelins.
I just wanted to see how high mpg i could get. Idc if you believe me... this is my last comment.

This is true, but wouldn't running the 35's on the back and 29's on the front make it to where you're always running downhill? ......63.275 mpg..... truthRunning 35's on the front, and 29's on the rear lets you sit back in the seat for a more relaxing trip.

Allow me to break it down for you:
I don't think we've seen what tyres were fitted when this exceptional mpg occured. Nor do we know what axle ratio and speedo gear were fitted.
I could do much more mpg with different sized tyres and an incorrect speedo gear fitted.
It's sad that our culture produces fellers like that. Y'all talk about engineers with no grasp of reality, but that's a whole 'nother level of "no graspness". It makes one ponder how a critter like that comes to be...

I was just saying that the forum tends to think our kind is not in touch with reality (and they're not 100% wrong - there are good engineers and bad engineers, like any other occupation), but this feller brings that to a much higher level.Methinks he's no engineer...
