42 mpg in a TJ

We use to mess with a guy at work by adding a couple gallons of gas each day at work to his tank. He was impressed and bragged about the fuel mileage all the time... then we cut off his supply... he nearly went craze thinking something was wrong all of the sudden...

Wholesome pranking, giving a dude free gas

I did the math 236cc/ min. You have no idea how much gas you used because you only fill up to an unknown point and then guess at the mileage based on another random refill. You didn't do the math. You simply made shit up.

In addition to that, I recall he mentioned installing smaller tires, which would make the odometer show more miles traveled than actual if the speedometer was not properly calibrated.

But if he only put smaller tires on the front, then his Jeep is always going downhill, no? Mystery solved. :sneaky:

What happened after he was gone? Did you form a committee of people all agreeing to tamper with property?

Close. But the tach shows 5 mph slower now. Back during the 42 mpg. I had 2 mph above the showed tach compared to the radars in town. But that has nothing to do with actual speed, rpm. And circumference. Which equate.

So you don’t know what you are talking about. Got it. And your 20,000 mile K&N filter you mentioned in your video doesn’t have anything to do with your mpg either.
