34 AGM battery check?

Bringing this thread back, looking at the Oreilly Super Start AGM. The marine one has the exact same specs and weight as the platinum, the only difference is the extra terminals on the marine style, and the warranty. The marine style has a 1 yr warranty while the platinum has a 3 year. Me thinks the batteries are identical inside and the extra money for the platinum is buying you the extra warranty? What do you think? Anyone using the marine one?

A little over 3 years later and I'm still running the Duracell marine version, which is the same battery with a different label. No issues at all to date.

Extra terminals can be nice for accesories like winches...if they're rated for that draw.

I'd go for more warranty.

And a go handle for the lighting cube.

So I ordered the AGM Marine from O'reillys. If I walk into the store it's $169.99 + tax which would have ended up at $184.60 but get this if I order online for free home delivery I get 20% off making it only $147.74 after tax! That's only $40 more than a Costco FLA. I have to wait till Tuesday but I don't need it right away as I have other stuff to drive. They did charge me $22 core but I get that back by taking my core to any O'reillys.

One thing I've learned, no matter where it is, before you order or buy go to Google and put in a search for discounts and promo codes for the place you're shopping, there's almost always something and the store employees don't know about it. Even NAPA has a 20% off and the store clerk didn't know. It does usually require you to place the order online for pickup or delivery.

I'm certain I bought the Marine version. And ran it in my TJ for some time. Because I only spent $160. I sold the TJ. But kicked myself in the ass for not swapping the battery into my newer JK or another one of our vehicles. When I replace the Ootima in my JK it will be for the Marine version of this battery.

And yes to coupon codes. I don't buy anything without checking for codes.

Also about 90% I what is sold in Amazon (talking aftermarket parts, interior, offroading whatever) are from China and available for pennies on the dollar direct from China via AliExpress. AliExpress is the Amazon of China. And not Temu or Wish bs. I would not advise buying from China via any other site. But the same products on aliexpress are exactly what you will find anyplace else stateside. From the same original factory. I have purchased $300 stereos. But mostly stick to items that are very very cheap. But most products in the $10 to $30 stateside or in Amazon you will find for $2 or $3.

It takes about 2 weeks for delivery, they accept returns on anything (but double check the policies on each item it's clearly listed) and they provide a UPS return label. So your not stuck with it or have to pay for return shipping to China.

I have purchased about 100 - 200 products a year. And returned maybe two things. Without a hickup. Just use the Choice items which are free shipping if you place an order for $10+. Try to buy from the sellers with the highest sales numbers for that product. The search filters are not that good. So take some time when searching. You find better prices that way.

There are also about 20% of the products on AliExpress that you haven't seen before. Some very useful and innovative stuff. For Jeeps. And literally ANYTHING else.

I've done the same thing on the last three batteries I bought at Pep Boys. Bought on line but went straight to the store to pick up. Cheaper than paying in the store.
