About a week ago my wife bought a 2004 Jeep TJ and it came in several boxes. Under hood was mostly there, interior was stripped but I had most of it in the box. This is our first jeep.

The main issue I am having is mice made a home in this thing, so lots of wires are damaged, headlights, horn, turn signals.....I have all that sorted, but one issue remains.

Crank no run, turns over very nice, and will run if I shoot carb cleaner down the throttle body. In my mind this is telling me the injectors are not firing. I have replaced the fuel pump, it did not even run when I got it. There was no "filter" or sock on the fuel pump I know it was toast. If you want to see the inside of the fuel tank I have a short video you can see here:

Fuel pressure at the rail is 40lbs, I think that is ok but don't know for sure. There are no codes stored.

I am wondering if I am missing a wire that the mice got ahold of, and if anyone has an idea on where to look. I do have one connector by the "silver box" not sure if it is the computer, or the box on the passenger side firewall is the computer, but there is one connector near the inside silver box just in front of the shifter, photo here. I have not pulled this box (what is it), so it might be as simple as that.

I need to get her running so I can take it in to get the VIN checked, you must do that here with cars bought out of state.

One last photo showing the state of the window wiper wiring, also looking for a suggestion on best getting to this, it is going to have to be under dash as the mice just left me with no length from the under the cover on the jeep. The thing was just full of hay.

Hope you guys can help with the not running issue....I am a bit stuck at the moment. If it had a carb I would be done by now.....yes I am that old.

You should be able to feel the injectors click if they are firing.

Check under Resources for the FSM with schematics for your yr.

The injectors could be plugged up as well.

Tests with a noid light showed that all injectors are getting signal to fire. Pulling the rail and leaving the fuel line hooked up and manually applying voltage to each injector was the next step. Only one injector fired on the rail and squirted fuel. Pull all injectors and test on bench showed 5 of 6 dead. Replaced all injectors and it fired right up. Solved. Now replace busted windshield and it will be good for inspection. The quick run around the block showed alignment issues, but I have not had it on the lift yet, need to do that first before taking it to the shop for alignment.
