At a loss here. I have an ‘04 Rubi auto. My jeep went in to limp mode while driving with no prior transmission symptoms and will not shift beyond 2nd gear. Checked fluid levels and reset battery. Codes were p0700 and p0605. I bought a replacement TCM from Wranglerfix after talking to Mark who felt that was the issue. It did not fix the problem. Still waiting on callback from their tech for 2 days now; not sure if replacement TCM is defective or not.
Reset codes and checked again which now show: p0700, p0605, and p0706 (TRS/NSS). No crank issues otherwise. It cranks in P and N, and does not crank in gears it shouldn’t. didn’t see any obvious issues with melted/frayed wiring; haven’t started ohming out wires or verifying grounds/power circuits. I’d rather have a starting point before going down that rabbit hole, so any help would be appreciated. Also will happily delegate to any recommended mechanics in northwest AR who aren’t con-artists and/or incompetent.
