Hey all,
So backstory , had a clock spring go bad a few years ago. Had it changed and really haven't drove the jeep much but there was always a bit of a looseness to the wheel. Finally got sick of it when out for a early spring drive. Took it all apart and the bolt was not the OEM one and wouldn't actually torq down So the wheel was loose. I ordered an m10-1.5x35 bolt and fingers crossed they didn't F up the threads inside the column.
If so, can I clean the threads with a tap inside the column? Any solid input is appreciated
So barring this, I'm going to replace the clockspring as it has been wobbling around too from the looks of it and I've got it all apart. Is the 04-06 clockspring interchangeable with the 03? The part numbers sometimes say for 03-06 but elsewhere there is a single part number for 03.
Any advise on this is appreciated too!
Thanks in advance
